A specimen created by Japanese scientists. This human manifestation was created by hybridizing two separate Japanese magnolia species--M.liliflora and M.heptapeta. Its slow growing properties allows its wide usage in many mini gardens in San Francisco, California. Hardiness, drought tolerance, and blooming are characteristics brought by this plant. Serves as an excellent shade tree during the spring.
